a HERO to my son.

Love the Dude...so does my son. He speaks to the Aspergerian in all of us, but especially to his tribe members. After all, if we all were typical, there would be no progress. He brings peace of mind to a generation of kids who have been labeled "defective" or even "evil". What he says is, "Hey, you're alright kid." They don't get that message much, with all the "experts" looking to scare the hell out of parents and fill their pockets and/or CV's while doing not much to actually help the kids along.

A breath of fresh air in a very stinky mess. Like the psychiatrist my son had who told him he was "the hardest worker he knew."

Hey, it ain't easy being Aspie. But it ain't all bad...why not laugh a little? We are all only human, after all.

sweet simplicity summarizing the asperger's experience...

i've spent the past few years immersing myself in the asperger's community - both from clinical and personal point of views. while there are many fine, hefty books on the subject, what i love about matt's books are the way he can find just the right little images and moments to capture the differences between how aspergians and non-aspergians experience the world. these books are great little collections of the best of the best blog posts he's created. definitely worth adding to your bookshelf!

Jack and I love love love this book! Jack is only 5, but he delights in seeing Matt's book and running around the house shouting 'Dude, I'm an Aspie!' This little book of cartoons has made his life cool....and who could wish for more than that? Thanks Matt :-)

Elias Redstone is an independent curator, writer and editor. He has served as Senior Curator at the Architecture Foundation and Contributing Editor at Arena Homme Plus and GQ Style. Elias is the Editor‐in‐Chief of the London Architecture Diary.

I like that it's hard-bound and it lays flat for the ...

Wow! What a book! It's a classic and it comes in handy when I'm having a hard time looking for a particular arcane word form. I like that it's hard-bound and it lays flat for the most part. Also, if you are beginning your study of Biblical Greek, you don't really need this book. Wait until it gets really difficult to parse. Thanks.

A must have for greek students

I just finished my first year of Biblical Greek, and I have found this lexicon absolutely necessary. Especially for this summmer or take home translation assignments when I get stuck parsing a pluperfect or my brain is just fried...Bill Mounce to the rescue!! This lexicon lists every form found in the New Testament in alphabetical order and gives you the lexical form of the word just in case you haven't memorized it. The layout is amazingly simple to use. I used it this morning during bible study. This is money well spent. Study, practice, teach ezra 7:10.

If you are taking your first semester of Greek, and trying to learn how to translate the New Testament, you need this book. Every word in the New Testament is here so no matter how the Greek root has been mutated into some unrecognizable form, you can still figure it out. This book will help avoid sleepless nights puzzling over the Greek text.

About the Author
Soo T. Tan has published numerous papers in Optimal Control Theory and Numerical Analysis. He received his S.B. degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, his M.S. degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and his Ph.D. from the University of California at Los Angeles. "One of the most important lessons I learned from my early experience teaching these courses is that many of the students come into these courses with some degree of apprehension. Great Cacl text, but CD ROM not Mac compatible

We used this text book in an NYU continuing education program. The course was designed as a refresher course for potential MBA applicants. I was taking it because we truly use calculus in the analytics of our systems at work.

This is a great text book. The illustrations are terrific. The problem sets are very good as they truly use real-world problems and examples. The instruction is crisp, without excessive theoretical wanderings.

One of the best scientific and engineering texts I have used.

CON: The enclosed CD ROM does not work with the Mac OSX operating system, and although I contacted customer support, they did not have plans to make the software OSX compatible. :-(

Such a nice read. Really enjoyed the authors viewpoints on calculus. Also I needed it for my class and only used it for homework problems. If you need this book buy this book. simple.

Review of textbook

I was assigned this book for a Calculus course I am currently taking.
My only gripes would be:

1) limited explanations (at least from my point of view) Each section is only 10 or so pages in length and with only about 4 or so extended examples.

2) I would like if there were more review exercises.

Also, if there was an online component, that would be very helpful.
