Sandra's View "Very, Very Dark, buyer beware"

The book had 2758 locations on my kindle. The book about a young girl, named Gia and a man, named Matteo. Gia was a needy, weak and extremely submissive virgin. Matteo was a sadistic and controlling mobster. The book contained forced sex, public sex, public sex play, oral sex, anal sex, torture, and murder. I did not like the Gia character. I know, she was raised to be a slave, but she was just too pathetic. She groveled at Matteo's feet, welcomed his abuse and craved his affection. She blamed herself, each time, he physically attacked her, or banished her to the basement. I hated the Matteo character. He was just too vicious and too selfish, to be anybody's hero. There were no redeeming quality about this man. I love a good dark romance, but this was not for me.
SPOILER ALERT:
Matteo branded his initials onto Gia's skin, he broke her fingers, kicked her in the stomach, punched her in face, starved her, bit her, in numerous fits of rage. He even killed his unborn child.

Heart-Ripping and Informative!

Please do not read it if there any triggers that will be hard for you in any way but if you do read it then also read the hotline information at the end of this story**
Matteo Rossi is looking for a girl but not just any girl. He needs one that will pass his father's test. His father Fausto, is the head of the Italian Mafia and wants Matteo to find a wife and give him an heir. But what Matteo wants is a slave that will do exactly what he says and wants and when she doesn't he will punish her severely. He goes to the Madam's house for a slave auction and when he doesn't see what he wants, he makes it known to the madam. When she takes him to the basement, he finds what he is looking for. But what will he loose in the process? Gia has never been brought to the auctions and no one has ever been to the basement. She is surprised when Matteo takes her innocence and then she realizes that she has been sold by her mother. Does Matteo ever regret what he does to Gia? Will Gia survive this ordeal?
This was a hard story to read but I couldn't put it down. Rachael has taken us into a world that most never think about but it does happen in this day and age. To me this is more of an information story than a fictional story because even if you get it and can't read it then go to the end and read the statistics and hotline information. i am sure this will shock you as it did me. You never think that a loved one will do this to someone they love. I can't wait to see what will happen next in this series. I love Rachael Orman and her writing style. She has a way of drawing you in and keeping your attention until the end and leaving you wanting more.

Out of Something Dark, Real Love can Bloom

This books shows that human trafficking and Slavery happening around the world. This is the first book by Rachael Orman I have read and I will say, this was an amazing story telling of Gia being born to a women then made it her Job to provide women as Slaves to the wealthy. Gia was never to be sold until Matteo arrived and knew what he wanted and it was not the women Madam was offering. So when he is shown Gia he has to have her. Being of the likes to royalty in the Italian Mob he is expected to do and act a way. When he took ownership of Gia He does not expect to feel anything so he fights it at every turn. Throughout it all many things happen and things can change at any moment. Will the demands of his Fathers wants and if he is told not he takes. Things happen and due to the situation being mistaken, Gia pays for it, until the truth comes to light and Matteo try's to make them right for Gia but is he to late can she come back from the punishment she has been given due to the misunderstanding. Will Gia every understand Matteo's true reasons behind all that he did. Like I said this was a story written to shine a light on the ugly things happening in the world, but it also shows that even with a master /Slave relationship these kind of relationship's do exist and are true and real relationship. Matteo and Gia isn't a story you see a lot but it does and can happen. Give this book a chance and go in with a open mind. I recommend this book.
