Certainly a good text book for undergraduate scholars of management and leadership in any setting, be it business or recreational, where people are required to, or choose to, step up to take on leadership roles. The book contains many stories to demonstrate various examples of leadership issues. There also a number of tutorials to run and engage students in learning exercises. In addition, there are a number of quizzes and self assessment tools along the way to help the reader map their own personality, leadership style and what they connect most with. For the well experienced person in leadership, this book provides a refresher with real and recent stories to help consolidate knowledge and current affairs in the leadership space. The theories throughout the book also help provide constructs to better understand many of the popular books on the market that espouse to build capability in people, coaching, charisma, team building and other current skills and competencies.

Very Easy Read & Good Information Inside.

A lot of valuable information. The quizzes which help in assessing one's leadership style and how to develop your style are pretty neat. I still think that trial and error are essential. There is nothing that replaces the value one gains from experience alone. Of course, theory is just as important, but the experience is definitely needed to better understand the theory aspects presented by the author. This is one book that I will keep on my bookshelf for referencing at a later time.
